There is a series
of windows; the artist says she was thinking of the paintings
as windows inside windows. Here a male figure sleeps on the
bed, and the lamp throws reflections on the wall. The window
looks into deep water as if the house were underwater. A female
figure with lacey, dark blood between her thighs reaches toward
the sleeper. Another title for this could be
“Anima”, a painting any Jungian would immediately “read”.
