This templo, called
Mellardo, is visible from the artist’s patio. The setting
sun throws a color that reminds one of tangerines when you
hold the broken fruit against the light – a sweet and translucent
orange. Dusk always fills us with nostalgia. Despite his academic
disfavor, remember Carlos Castaneda said that at dusk and
dawn the “crack between worlds opens up for
just a moment”. And that tangerine light only lasts for a
moment. But this little painting holds the door open forever.
Art captures fleeting, magic moments.
