The staircase descending
on the left center is the route Dolores Hidalgo took when he
entered Guanajuato and began the war of Independence in 1810.
Guanajuato’s streets are saturated with history, the ghosts
of Mexico’s memories walk the streets of this magical city.
Perhaps the lovers on the bridge are the very ones who were
so tragically parted in the legend of the Callejon del Beso
(Street of the Kiss), a few blocks away.
